Where are you located?

We are located on a private farm in Barnesville, Georgia. We do not list our location publicly to protect the dogs and respect our Director’s home. We will arrange a date and time for visitation during the pre- approval process interview.

What are your hours?

We are not a business location; therefore, we do not have set hours. Our director lives on-site so all visits are by appointment only but we are usually flexible with scheduling. We will arrange a date and time for visitation during the pre-approval process interview.

Are you a 501 (c)(3) organization?

Yes, The Dolly Goodpuppy Society is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All donations to The Dolly Goodpuppy Society are tax deductible.

Do you receive money from the local, state, or federal government?

No. We do not receive any type of funding from the government. Our mission is supported through generous donations from individuals, businesses (large and small), foundations, planned gifts, event proceeds, and occasionally local/state grants.

How can I donate?

Please visit our How to Help page for multiple options. Donations are tax-deductible and you will receive a letter with our Tax ID number and information.

I can’t donate, what are other ways I can assist The Dolly Goodpuppy Society?

We always need volunteers at the kennels to walk/play with dogs, clean, make improvements/repairs. We can always use assistance at adoption events, planning fundraisers, or helping with administrative tasks. Please visit our Volunteer page and fill out the form to contact about volunteering. 

How much are your adoption fees?

Our adoption fees vary based on the dog, breeding, age, special skills, special needs etc. but most adoption fees are $200-$300. The adoption fee includes; spay/neuter, microchip, current vaccinations, up to date heartworm/flea/tick prevention, and treatment for any known medical condition.

I submitted an application several days ago and I have not heard back, how can I find out about the status of my application?

The Dolly Goodpuppy Society is operated primarily by volunteers. These tireless animal advocates do their very best to respond to applicants within 1-3 days, but many are juggling full-time careers, families, etc. If you do not receive a response after 4 days, please visit our Contact Us page and fill in the form to send us an email. 

I found a stray or abandoned dog. Can you come pick it up?

The Dolly Goodpuppy Society cannot legally take in a stray or abandoned animal. Refer to our Find A Dog page for complete details.

I need to get rid of my dog. Can you take it?

Maybe. The Dolly Goodpuppy Society operates with limited space, funding, and foster homes therefore we cannot accept every dog. We can try to network with rescues to assist with placement. Refer to our Surrender Your Dog page for complete details.

I need to have my dog spayed or neutered. Can you help?

The Dolly Goodpuppy Society is committed to helping reduce the number of unplanned/unwanted dogs in our community. We partner with The Atlanta Humane Society to host, quarterly, their low-cost, mobile spay/neuter clinic here in Barnesville. Clinic dates are posted on our Facebook page and on the AHS website (Atlanta Humane Society).

SAFE (Saving Animals From Euthanasia) and HELP (The Spay/Neuter Clinic) also provide mobile, low-cost services to our community.
